Maia Kazin
Grants Consultant
Maia Kazin came to Firefly with expertise writing grants for community hospitals, direct service nonprofits, legal services providers, arts organizations, and for-profit projects. She began her career working with New York-based nonprofit hospitals applying for major federal grants and has since helped organizations of all sizes connect with funders, win grants, and strengthen generative funder relationships. Since joining Firefly, she has worked for organizations in the arts, healthcare, youth services, and museum sectors.
Maia also serves as Director of Grants and Development for D.C. KinCare Alliance, an organization committed to serving the legal and related needs of relative caregivers who step up to raise children when their parents are not able to.
Maia holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Stanford University and lives in Los Angeles, where she spends her time chasing her dog on Griffith Park trails.
